This 100% natural and certified organic detoxifying mask with [AHA fruit acids (record concentration of 11%) + Clay + Propolis] unclogs pores, cleanses the skin, boosts cell renewal and tightens skin texture, without drying out the skin. Main Active Ingredients

AHA fruit acid (11% including 7% lactic acid): 5 fruit acids used: lactic acid (from blueberries), glycolic acid (from sugar cane), citric acid (from orange and lemon) and malic and tartaric acids (from sugar maple).

What is a detox mask?

A detox mask is a treatment designed to eliminate accumulated toxins, impurities and pollutants on the surface of the skin. It is formulated to deeply purify the skin, unclog pores, eliminate dead cells and restore radiance and vitality to the skin.

How do I know if I need a detox mask?

Regular use of a detox masks is advisable to remove toxins accumulate over time. However, detox masks are particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing the following signs: .

What is the difference between mechanical and chemical exfoliation?

Chemical exfoliation relies on the use of chemicals such as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) like lactic acid and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) such as salicylic acid, or natural enzymes like papaya or pineapple.

These acids and enzymes work by dissolving the bonds between dead skin cells, making their removal easier. Unlike mechanical exfoliation, chemical exfoliation doesn't require physical rubbing. It's the gentler alternative.

Mechanical exfoliation, on the other hand, is done manually, through gentle fingertip massages, using small grains to loosen and dislodge dead cells.

I feel some tingling when I apply the Purifying & Refining Detox Mask, is this normal?

Yes, that's completely normal! It's the fruit acids at work! In fact, it proves that the concentration is optimal and that the mask is effective!

Should I moisturize my skin after using the Purifying & Refining Detox Mask?

After exfoliating the skin (chemical or mechanical), it is essential to strengthen the hydrolipidic film and calm the skin. In addition, the active ingredients penetrate more effectively after exfoliation, making it the perfect time to deeply nourish the skin!

How often should I use the Purifying & Refining Detox Mask?

For normal, combination or oily skin: 2 times a week⁠ (possibility of alternating with the Gentle Facial Exfoliator)

For acne-prone skin: Every other day.

For dry or sensitive skin: 1 time per week.

I have sensitive skin, can I use the Organic Purifying & Refining Detox Mask?

Yes, at Apicia, all our products are formulated for sensitive skin. You can therefore integrate the Purifying & Refining Detox Mask into your routine. It is recommended to simply reduce its frequency of use to once a week and always apply a hydrating mask afterwardst like our Ultra Comforting Face Mask.
