SOS DEHYDRATED SKIN
Dehydrated skin or dry skin?
Dry skin is skin lacking sebum while dehydrated skin, much more common, is skin lacking water that simply needs to stock up on hydration .
The most common signs
- Lack of flexibility and elasticity
- More pronounced wrinkles
- Pulling
- Loss of shine
Why is my skin dehydrated?
Heat peaks, sea bathing, drug treatments, pollution, stress, etc. There are many factors that alter the functioning of the hydrolipid barrier. His role? Maintain hydration of the stratum corneum (the upper layer) by limiting water evaporation. Dehydration affects all skin types: normal, oily, combination, but also dry.
The good news ? Dehydrated skin and a temporary skin condition which, with the right actions and care, is easily treated!
How to take care of dehydrated skin?
Hyaluronic acid to revitalize the skin
A natural constituent of the skin, Hyaluronic Acid is the flagship active ingredient for quenching thirsty skin! Research has demonstrated the benefit of Hyaluronic Acid in daily skin care where it helps boost skin hydration and plump it, thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles and loss of elasticity, IF AND ONLY IF the 3 molecular weights are used, each weight having a different role. It is therefore not enough for a product to contain Hyaluronic Acid: always make sure that the 3 molecular weights are present in a significant percentage (our ORGANIC Regenerating Serum has a record rate of 2% with the 3 molecular weights).
A treatment rich in moisturizing active ingredients
Light, non-greasy texture, easily absorbed by the skin, our Organic Universal Anti-Aging Treatment, 100% natural and organic, contains an innovative formula with effectiveness demonstrated by clinical studies, based on honey, white rose, flower marshmallow, sweet almond, apricot, as well as a biotechnological active ingredient from a marine microorganism - to act against external aggressions (antioxidant capacity), by hydrating and balancing the skin microbiota. Ideal for dehydrated skin!
A hydration treatment
The most hydrating masks are those that:
- to improve the quality of the intercellular cement (role of vegetable oils): the water content of the epidermal cells depends on this quality, because if the cement is not sufficiently rich in complex lipids, the water contained in the cells becomes will evaporate too quickly.
- to retain water on the surface (role of glycerin, which is a humectant agent with hygroscopic capabilities)
Our Organic Ultra Comforting Mask , very rich in honey, pollen, aloe vera, vegetable oil and glycerin, nourishes and soothes the skin sustainably and regenerates the most weakened skin.
For very dehydrated skin, we advise you to do a regenerating treatment by applying the mask EVERY evening for 1 week (or every 2 days for 10-14 days). This treatment will transform your skin: it will be much more supple, plump and soothed.
