Fresh Pollen FAQ
“Can we do several fresh pollen treatments during the year?”
Fresh pollen is a FOOD and not a dietary supplement. As such, it can be consumed every day of the year. This is even what is recommended! Indeed, fresh pollen is an ultra complete food (it is even the most complete food in the world according to naturopaths), it contains everything the body needs DAILY to function optimally: live probiotics, vitamins, trace elements, antioxidants, complete vegetable proteins…
Of course, if you want to stick to cures, this is possible. We then recommend 6-week cures (=2 trays), particularly at seasonal changes or whenever you feel the need to give your body and/or your skin a boost.
“If I understood correctly, upon receipt I put the container of fresh pollen in the freezer, and I put it back there after each daily use?”
You should always store fresh pollen in the freezer (be careful, this is the freezer, not the refrigerator!), whether the container is open or closed.
We use a patent allowing us to send fresh unfrozen pollen by conventional mail (fresh pollen can remain unfrozen for up to 8 days when it has not been opened), but upon receipt, it must be kept constantly in the freezer.
To consume it, no need to “defrost” it. As fresh pollen contains very little water, it does not solidify when frozen, it always remains melting! So you can take your daily large tablespoon straight from the freezer!
Finally, in terms of storage time, as with any frozen product, it can be kept for more than a year (whether the tray is open or closed).
“Can I take pollen and propolis simultaneously?”
Yes ! It’s even ideal! They do not have the same mode of action, they are complementary and synergistic.
Fresh pollen acts to strengthen the intestinal flora (with consequent benefits on digestion and immunity), and provides the body and the skin with everything they need to function optimally.
Propolis, for its part, acts to strengthen overall immune defenses (propolis is immunomodulatory, that is to say it helps the body to best adapt its immune response). Propolis also has antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity (very interesting for people with significant skin problems).
“Can I take pollen during pregnancy?”
Absolutely ! This very complete food is recommended before, during and after pregnancy. Very dense in micronutrients, it helps meet nutritional needs, particularly those which increase the most during this period: energy needs, proteins, iron and vitamin B. It is also beneficial in combating pregnancy disorders: inappetence, bloating, constipation, fatigue and infections.
Particularly important during the last trimester, fresh pollen prepares the intestinal flora for childbirth, when baby forms its own flora directly from mom's.
Our fresh FLORICIA pollen is best suited for pregnancies.
“Should I consume fresh pollen on an empty stomach?”
You can consume fresh pollen on an empty stomach if you can tolerate it, but we recommend taking it during or at the end of breakfast with fruit. The synergistic action with fruits will allow better absorption and therefore greater effectiveness.
Lactic ferments (probiotics) being very active in fresh pollen (unlike probiotics in sachets or capsules because these are live, multiplying probiotics), you may feel some bloating and slight stomach aches if your intestinal flora is unbalanced or sensitive and you are taking it on an empty stomach.
“Which fresh pollen to choose: FLORICIA or DERMICIA?”
For a first dose, we recommend starting with 3 weeks of FLORICIA - which is the pollen richest in lactic ferments (to first work on the intestinal flora) - then alternating with DERMICIA or ÉNÉRGIE & BEAUTÉ BIO (the more varied in nutrients)
FLORICIA is richest in probiotics, it is therefore recommended for:
- A first treatment (fundamental to boost the intestinal flora)
- People with transit problems
- People with serious skin problems
- People wishing to strengthen their immune defenses
DERMICIA or ORGANIC ENERGY & BEAUTY which are the most general, with more balanced nutritional profiles and which are therefore recommended:
- For long-term cures
- To revitalize the entire body
- To improve the quality of skin and hair
