The benefits of Floricia “Intestinal Balance & Beauty”
What is bee pollen?
Pollen is collected by bees while foraging on flower stamens. They then carry this pollen back to the hive where it is used as a food source, particularly as a rich source of protein.
For us, fresh bee pollen is an incredible source of various essential nutrients: live lactic ferments, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, complete proteins... making it a remarkable superfood for our health.
It is important to note that to fully benefit from its benefits, bee pollen must absolutely be fresh. Dry bee pollen, which is generally found in jars on shelves, is heated and no longer contains almost any of its active ingredients.

your most frequently asked questions
The nutritional properties of pollen are strongly altered by heat. Dry pollen, available in jars in the dry aisle, is subjected to a heating process, thus depriving it of most of its micronutrients, including its lactic ferments. On the other hand, fresh pollen (in frozen form) retains all its nutritional properties , making it a living food of exceptional value.
The duration of a tray is approximately 3 weeks , it is recommended to consume 1 tablespoon minimum per day.
Absolutely, our pollen must be stored in the freezer (and not in the refrigerator!) It is important to keep it in the freezer upon receipt and after each use, whether closed or opened. Thanks to its low water content, it will not freeze, allowing you to easily scoop your daily tablespoon straight from the freezer, retaining its melting texture.
We use a patented preservation process that maintains pollen freshness for up to 8 days without a cold chain . That's why we can ship it by standard mail at room temperature. However, upon receipt, please place it in the freezer immediately.
Fresh pollen is considered a food and not a dietary supplement. As a result, it can be consumed daily throughout the year , which is also recommended!
However, if you prefer to follow cures, that is also possible. We recommend 6-week cures , especially during seasonal changes or when you feel the need to revitalize your body and/or your skin.
Absolutely ! It is important to distinguish between pollen carried by the wind (anemophilic pollination) and that carried by insects (entomophilous pollination). People suffering from “hay fever” and pollen allergies are usually allergic to anemophilic pollen. On the other hand, pollen carried by insects, particularly bees, is rarely allergenic. It is even sometimes used in desensitization treatments.
Yes, it is entirely recommended to take both at the same time, it is even ideal! Fresh pollen is a superfood that provides the body and the skin with all the essential micronutrients necessary to function optimally, while propolis is an extraordinary food supplement with multiple virtues : anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and immunomodulator. The two complement each other perfectly and act in synergy!
Our fresh pollen comes mainly from French, Spanish and Italian beekeepers.
Absolutely ! From the age of 2 , we recommend taking at least one teaspoon to support the health of the intestinal flora. Fresh pollen is a valuable nutritional resource that promotes the good growth of children and adolescents.
Absolutely ! Fresh pollen is a complete and recommended source before, during and after pregnancy . Rich in micronutrients, it helps meet increased nutritional needs during this period , such as increased energy, protein, iron and vitamin B needs. Additionally, it can help alleviate common pregnancy disorders. such as inappetence, bloating, constipation, fatigue and infections.
It is particularly important to consume fresh pollen during the last trimester to prepare the intestinal flora for childbirth . During vaginal delivery, the newborn acquires its own flora from that of its mother. Thus, healthy intestinal flora in the mother promotes the development of healthy intestinal flora in the newborn, which can influence their long-term health.
Consumption of fresh pollen after childbirth is also recommended to aid recovery by providing essential nutrients such as protein, vitamins and minerals. Additionally, thanks to its probiotic properties, fresh pollen can support the newborn's intestinal health and strengthen their immune system thanks to the nutrients transmitted through breast milk.
