Care Routine for Mature Skin vs Young Skin
The skin, the largest organ in the human body, undergoes changes throughout our lives. The skin barrier weakens, cell renewal slows down, dehydration sets in, and elasticity and firmness decrease. This is why it is essential to adopt a skincare routine adapted to your age and the needs of your skin.
01. Facial routine for young skin (Up to 25 years old)
Cleansing for youthful skin
Needs
Use gentle cleansers and makeup removers to maintain the skin's natural balance and remove dirt and excess oil. Avoid formulas that could be harsh and dry out the skin.
The Apicia routine
- In the morning: use only our ORGANIC CLEANSING JELLY (with a concentration of 2.5% fruit acids to minimize the appearance of imperfections and regulate shine)
- In the evening: do a double cleanse with our ORGANIC BALANCING MAKE-UP REMOVER OIL followed by our ORGANIC PURIFYING CLEANSING JELLY.
Targeted care for young skin
Needs
Excess sebum, often more important on young skin, it may be interesting to use a serum which will regulate sebum secretion and reduce possible imperfections. As you approach 25, you can start incorporating a vitamin C serum to prevent skin aging and to give the skin a boost.
The Apicia routine
- Morning and/or evening: apply our ORGANIC SEBORE-REGULATING SERUM .
- Follow with our ORGANIC C RADIANCE SERUM with vitamin C.
Hydration for youthful skin
Needs
Young skin is generally well hydrated thanks to balanced sebum production. The basic needs are to maintain this hydration and protect the skin from environmental aggressions.
The Apicia routine
- Morning and evening: apply our ORGANIC JOLI LIGHT COMPLEXION TREATMENT , which provides the right dose of hydration. If the skin is a little drier, for example during the winter season, opt instead for our JOLI TEINT ORGANIC VELVET CARE.
Exfoliation for youthful skin
Needs
A light exfoliation with AHAs can help remove dead skin cells, promote cell turnover and prevent blemishes.
The Apicia routine
- 1 to 2 times a week : use our ORGANIC DETOX MASK which, in addition to exfoliating the skin, deeply purifies it.
02. Facial routine for mature skin (from 30 years old)
Cleansing for mature skin
Needs
Skin becomes drier and more sensitive with age, so it is important to choose gentle, suitable cleansers and makeup removers to avoid irritation, without dehydrating it.
The Apicia routine
- In the morning: use only our ORGANIC CLEANSING JELLY
- In the evening: do a double cleanse with our ORGANIC BALANCING MAKE-UP REMOVER OIL followed by our ORGANIC PURIFYING CLEANSING JELLY.
Targeted care for mature skin
Needs
Using a product specially designed for the eye area is now essential, whether for prevention or treatment of this particularly sensitive area which shows the signs of aging more quickly. AND in addition, we recommend adding 1 or 2 serums, depending on your skin's needs.
The Apicia routine
- Morning and evening: apply (after serums and before your cream) our ORGANIC EYE CARE , which offers anti-puffiness, anti-dark circles, anti-wrinkle and plumping properties.
- Spots, lack of radiance, wrinkles and fine lines? Morning and evening apply our ORGANIC C RADIANCE SERUM with vitamin C in the morning and/or evening to effectively treat dull and uneven skin, as well as pigment spots, without sensitizing the skin.
- Skin sagging, fine lines and wrinkles, dryness? Morning and evening apply our ORGANIC REGENERATING SERUM , which has a very high concentration of hyaluronic acid, to act effectively against dryness due to aging, fine lines and wrinkles, loss of volume and sagging of the skin.
Hydration for mature skin
Needs
With age, the production of sebum and collagen decreases, leading to skin dryness and loss of elasticity. It therefore becomes essential to use a more nourishing moisturizer with anti-aging properties.
The Apicia routine
- Morning and evening : apply our ORGANIC UNIVERSAL ANTI-AGING TREATMENT , or its richer version designed especially for dehydrated skin, our ORGANIC RICH ANTI-AGING TREATMENT .
Exfoliation for mature skin
Needs
As skin ages, cell turnover can slow down. It is therefore essential to maintain regular use of gentle exfoliants to stimulate cell regeneration and help reduce the appearance of fine lines.
The Apicia routine
- Two to three times a week: Alternate between chemical exfoliation (using our ORGANIC DETOX MASK ) and mechanical exfoliation (using our ORGANIC GENTLE FACE EXFOLIANT )
