WELL-BEING RITUALS IN WINTER
The days are getting shorter, the sun is becoming rarer... No doubt, winter is slowly settling in. If the drop in light and cooler temperatures are often the cause of seasonal depression, why not see the arrival of winter as the ideal time to establish well-being rituals and take care of yourself?
Here are some ideas to approach this season gently and beautifully.
SLOW THE PACE
We have a lot to learn from Nature, and the simplest way is certainly to live in harmony with its rhythm. In winter, our body, like Nature, needs to rest, to save its energy, to slow down. We therefore take advantage of the arrival of this season to connect even more with our body by listening to it and adapting our rhythm according to the light of day. We take advantage of the morning to go out and recharge our batteries through contact with the morning light, and in the evening, as soon as night falls, we slow down by turning off the screens two hours before sleeping, and by going to bed earlier to optimize recovery. .
KEEP MOVING
Just because the cold sets in doesn't mean we'll hibernate completely! We continue to move daily, but opt for gentler activities: brisk walking (why not get off a metro station earlier?), cycling, gentle gym, yoga, or even a walk in the forest for those who have the opportunity. occasion, are all ways to continue to be in movement, and therefore to oxygenate all the cells of our body by promoting good circulation as well as good breathing.
TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
Winter is the ideal time to refocus on yourself by allowing yourself some cocooning moments. This means reading a good book or writing sessions by the fire accompanied by a delicious healthy hot chocolate or a golden latte or by organizing “spa” rituals at home.
We take the time to pamper our skin, starting with a good dry brushing which will remove dead skin while ensuring the lymph circulates well, the seat of our immune system. We continue our well-being ritual by giving our hair an oil bath which we leave for 20 minutes to an hour if possible, before our ultra-gentle purifying shampoo x.
We also take advantage of this colder season to increase the hydration of our skin: we start with a gentle exfoliation or a detox mask to gently eliminate imperfections and optimize the hydration phase with a moisturizing mask or a sufficiently rich night treatment. , like our anti-aging night treatment .
Finish with a facial massage with dry oil (see video tutorial in our IGTV).
You can finally optimize this moment for yourself with an Epson salt bath (very rich in bio-available magnesium, a mineral that we are often deficient in, especially in winter, etc.) and ending with a body and foot massage. , always with our dry oil (which is truly multi-purpose!)
BOOST YOUR IMMUNITY
We help your body fight against winter ills by boosting its immunity from breakfast with our favorite ultra boost topping : fresh pollen . Both nourishing and rich in probiotics, it helps strengthen our microbiota and simulate our immunity, while brightening up our mornings with its luminous yellow - the sun on the plate :)!
If you want to put all the chances on your side, combine taking pollen with propolis, a real natural “anti-vital” (in the form of mini-doses or droppers – these solutions are very strong but they have the advantage of leaving a protective veil on the throat, which is very pleasant – and reassuring – in this season)
As for drinks, we don't hesitate to swap our morning coffee/tea for infusions with anti-bacterial, antifungal, and slightly stimulating properties, such as thyme, or rosemary, or even echinacea, an immuno-modulatory plant. excellence!
Finally, winter is often associated with the season of soups and other broths. Ideal for warming up without weighing down. We include them in our menus, especially in the evening, in order to lighten and avoid overloading the body when going to bed. We gain in lightness, but also in energy by offering our body more restorative sleep, thereby helping it to approach winter with more serenity.
Take care of yourself !
