What is a Dry Oil?
A dry oil is a form of oil (or a mixture of dry oils) that absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy film.
It is lightweight , non-sticky and suitable for different skin types , including those who prefer lighter hydration or who tend to have oily skin.
Additionally, dry oils can be used all year round, summer and winter, to help protect the skin against dehydration and maintain its natural balance, without weighing the skin down.
What are the different dry oils?
There are several types of dry oils, oils that are light and quickly absorbed by the skin, each with their own characteristics and benefits. Here are some examples of commonly used dry oils:
- Sweet Almond Oil: Thanks to its richness in vitamin E, it protects the skin against environmental damage and reduces the signs of aging. In addition, it nourishes dry and damaged hair, making it shinier and less prone to split ends.
- Jojoba oil*: Thanks to its composition similar to the skin's natural sebum, it regulates sebum production, thus helping to balance oily skin and nourish dry skin. Its non-comedogenic properties make it an ideal choice for preventing breakouts and blemishes.
- Sesame Oil*: Its antioxidant properties help protect the skin against environmental damage and reduce signs of aging. It is also beneficial for hair, making it stronger, shinier and less prone to frizz.
- Argan Oil: Known for its hydrating and regenerating properties, argan oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E, making it an excellent choice for nourishing skin and hair.

What are the benefits of a Dry Oil?

What is the difference between a Dry Oil and a moisturizer?

Composition: Dry Oils are generally composed of a blend of light vegetable oils such as sweet almond oil, jojoba oil or argan oil, which are rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants. . They are designed to nourish and protect the skin while preventing dehydration. Moisturizers, on the other hand, often contain a blend of ingredients such as emollients, humectants and occlusive agents to deeply nourish the skin, hydrate it and protect it against moisture loss.

When to apply Dry Oil?
After shower: Apply dry oil to slightly damp skin to seal in moisture and leave skin soft and supple.
Before bed : Use the dry oil as a night treatment to nourish and regenerate the skin while you sleep.
Before sun exposure: Apply a thin layer of dry oil to skin to help protect against UV damage.
After a day in the sun: Use dry oil to soothe and nourish skin after prolonged exposure to the sun.
On the hair: Apply a small amount of dry oil to the ends of the hair to nourish them, soften them and protect them from external aggressions.
What are the uses of a Dry Oil for the body?
- Nourishing care
After showering, morning and/or evening, apply a few drops of oil to your skin. Massage gently until the oil is well absorbed. The oil penetrates quickly into the skin, without leaving a greasy finish, for visibly hydrated, nourished and ultra-luminous skin.
- Soothing after-sun treatment
After sun exposure, gently apply the oil to sensitive or irritated areas of your skin. Its nourishing properties help calm and repair skin damaged by the sun.
- Nail and cuticle care
Massage the oil into your nails and cuticles to nourish and strengthen them. This can help prevent brittle nails and dry cuticles.
- Lip care
If your lips are dry or chapped, apply a small amount of oil to nourish and soften them.
What are the uses of a Dry Oil for hair?
- Scalp care
Pour a few drops of oil onto your fingertips and gently massage your scalp in circular motions. This helps stimulate blood circulation, nourish the scalp and promote hair growth.
- Hair care
Once or twice a week apply a small amount of oil to the lengths and/or scalp to deeply nourish them. Leave on for at least 30 minutes, or even overnight, before shampooing. This allows the oil to penetrate deeply and intensely nourish the hair.
- Hair ends care
After showering, apply a few drops after shampooing to discipline, nourish and give them shine.
