1 to 2 times a week, apply a small amount of exfoliant to damp face and neck for a gentle exfoliation or to dry face and neck for more intense exfoliation, then massage in circular movements, avoiding the eye area. Is the ORGANIC Gentle Facial Exfoliant a mechanical or chemical exfoliant?

Mechanical exfoliation! It is done manually (by light massages with the fingertips) using natural grains from castor oil.

What is the difference between mechanical and chemical exfoliation?

Mechanical exfoliation is carried out manually using light massages with the fingertips, using small grains which loosen and eliminate dead skin cells.

Chemical exfoliation involves the use of fruit acids (like AHAs or BHAs) or enzymes to remove dead skin cells by dissolving their bonds. This type of exfoliation does not require physical scrubbing.

How often should I exfoliate my skin?

The frequency of application as well as the choice of exfoliant must be adapted to your skin type and sensitivity. It is important to respect the appropriate frequency, in order to avoid damaging the hydrolipidic film and obtaining results opposite to those sought.

For normal, combination or oily skin, exfoliate twice a week, alternating between chemical and mechanical exfoliation.

For acne-prone skin, opt for chemical exfoliation every other day.

For dry or sensitive skin, opt for chemical exfoliation once a week.

I have acne, can I use the ORGANIC Gentle Facial Exfoliant?

For acne-prone skin, we recommend avoiding mechanical exfoliants, however gentle they may be, to avoid stimulating the sebaceous glands.

Should I moisturize my skin after using my exfoliant?

After exfoliation (chemical or mechanical), the hydrolipidic film needs to be reinforced and the skin soothed. Especially since the active ingredients penetrate much better after exfoliation, it is therefore the ideal time to deeply nourish the skin! ⁠

Je trouve le produit bien mais les grains sont quand même assez gros et pour moi irritant pour ma peau sensible .

Exfolie en douceur

Il est agréable à appliquer et à masser. Je l’utilise personnellement sur une peau propre mais à sec. J’ai tout de même une préférence pour le gommage/masque aux AHA pour ma peau mixte.

Très efficace

Le résultat est là dès la première utilisation, n'agresse pas la peau mais reste efficace. Pas besoin d'une quantité énorme juste une noisette donc rapport qualité/prix top !
